Some frequently asked questions about how Goo Goo is operating regarding Covid-19 safety measures.


All of our staff are equipped with masks and face-shields for our client’s protection and will be practicing social distancing as much as possible. Thank you for your cooperation.

Do I Need To Make An Appointment?

Yes, currently all services are being scheduled by appointment. This includes pick-ups and drop offs.

Do I Need To Wear A Mask?

Yes, thank you for bringing a mask for all in-store appointments. Masks can be removed once seated at one of our plexiglass equipped desks while trying on frames.


Are you still doing repairs?

Yes, we are still doing repairs. Please inquire about a drop-off time.

Screw or nose-pad replacements can sometimes be done while you wait but may take a day or two depending on how busy the store is that day.

More advanced repairs (i.e., nose-pad modification, frame polishing or refurbishment, hinge sinks or custom jobs) may take up to 2 weeks to complete.

Can I come in and browse for glasses?

We will ask you to stay seated for your appointment to ensure social distancing, and therefore browsing is limited. At the moment, all of our inventory is not on display. It will be our pleasure to pre-select some glasses for you personally based on your preferences, and email photos of them to you prior to your appointment. This personal shopping method has been highly successful so far and ensures each client gets one-on-one service.

Is there another way I can see what selection you have?

Yes, you can browse our inventory online!

Goo Goo is working hard to update our website to offer more online browsing of our eyeglasses and sunglasses. Find images of our inventory by clicking on ‘Showroom‘ and then sort by brand, sunglasses or optical glasses, and by clicking on tags listed beside each product.

Once you have selected some models that you would like to try on, send us a list and we would be happy to book a one-on-one appointment for you to try on each and every one of them.

How long does it take to complete my order?

Some of our services are taking longer due to recent changes. The following list is an approximate time for completion and individual orders will each have their own estimated pick-up date.

Can I bring someone to my appointment with me?

Yes, though we will have to ensure there are enough spots to safely fit you and your second opinion. Please let us know in advance and we will accommodate whenever possible.

Where can I get an eye-exam?

We do not have an optometrist on staff at Goo Goo Goggles. We are happy to refer you to an eye doctor upon request. Our friends at Inner Harbour Optometry come highly recommended and are in close proximity to our store.

*We highly recommend booking an appointment for glasses pick-ups, adjustments, and lens chats so that one of our awesome senior staff will be available to help you :)  Most days we have space for browsing walk-ins, as long as we’re not short staffed, but browsing appointments can also be pre-booked if you have a specific time you would like to come in and would like one of our team to be available to help without having to wait.  So feel free to come on by and see if we have space available, or let us know ahead of time and we’ll be all ready for you when you arrive 🙂
